Reality Family Support Services Ltd is a company with a difference.

 

We have over 20 years of experience working with children and their families within a variety of settings.

 

Our experiences range from Nursery managers, Key Workers, Youth mentors, Contact facilitators, Family Support Workers, CAFCASS Workers, SPIP (Separated Parent Information Programme) Trainers, Foster Carers and Foster Carer Trainers.

Our foster carers have for many years worked closely with Lewisham, Southwark, Bromley, Lambeth and Croydon local authorities providing a variety of placements.

 

We have had first-hand experiences of supporting families with budgeting, healthy eating, routines and boundary setting, emotional and social wellbeing, living skills, safer caring and advocating for parents and children with learning difficulties.

Our Aims And Objectives

Our team of friendly staff offer practical help and emotional support to families experiencing short or long-term difficulties.

We endeavour to bring families together, which ultimately will benefit the community at large by supporting and strengthening family ties.

Our team is committed to providing the highest level of service whilst being careful and prudent.

Reality Family Support Services aims to work with and support families from a realistic perspective. This is achieved by working in partnership and helping them to manage their responsibilities more effectively in their day to day lives, whilst assisting them in reaching their full potential.

The below are some of our key goals and objectives:
  • Facilitate and support the process of building and maintaining relationships between parents and child/children.
  • Offer a sensitive approach to the concept of contact.
  • mentoring young people, especially from challenging backgrounds and at risk of exclusion.
  • To assist in the development of skills needed for safer caring.
  • A fast an efficient referral process.
  • Develop a reliable and dependable service.
  • Form and maintain good relationships with professionals, local agencies, courts officers, solicitors and all referrers.
Families are usually referred to us by social services or fostering agencies.
Our roles will vary depending on individual needs.
The challenges faced by our families could relate to any of the following circumstances:
  • • Behavior and social interaction• Bereavement and caring responsibilities.• Domestic violence and abuse• Drug and alcohol addiction
